A life meant for writing: September 2014

A Writer’s Life: I have always wanted to be a writer. In my late teens I briefly toyed with the idea of attending medical school until a wise person in my life asked me, “Why do you want to be a doctor?” I suppose she was waiting to hear me say I wanted to heal people and take care of them. Instead I said, “So that I can write about my life as a doctor, just like James Herriot and his stories about animals.”As I said those words out loud, I realized what I wanted to do for the rest of my life! Be a writer. It has been a long, sometimes torturous road, but I can finally call myself a writer. An author of a published book.I want to thank all of you for following my blog and my words. I hope you will continue your literary journey with me and read my first novel. Your comments and words of encouragement mean a great deal to me and I look forward to hearing from you.Want a sneak peak?Preview the first 2 chapters of My Mother's Kitchen for free! http://issuu.com/homebound/docs/my_mothers_kitchen_preview_1 #fiction #novel
